Controllability of excitable systems.
Mathematical models of cell electrical activity typically consist of a current balance equation, channel activation (or inactivation) variables and concentrations of regulatory agents. These models can be thought of as nonlinear filters whose input is some applied current I (possibly zero) and output is a membrane potential V. A natural question to ask is if the applied current I can be deduced...

Phase control of excitable systems
Here we study how to control the dynamics of excitable systems by using the phase control technique. Excitable systems are relevant in neuronal dynamics and therefore this method might have important applications. We use the periodically driven FitzHugh–Nagumo (FHN) model, which displays both spiking and non-spiking behaviours in chaotic or periodic regimes. The phase control technique consists...
متن کاملa comparison of nursing data classification systems
introduction: health care classifications are essential tools for collecting and processing health-related information. they also provide a unified language for interdisciplinary communications. nursing data is important for extension of knowledge, evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing care, and supporting human resource planning. therefore, an integrated system for collecting, st...
Towards classification of conditionally integrable evolution systems
Given a generalized (Lie–Bäcklund) vector field, we classify (under certain nondegeneracy assumptions) all (1+1)-dimensional evolution systems which admit this vector field as a conditional symmetry. The connection with the theory of symmetries of systems of ODEs and with the theory of invariant modules is discussed.
